New Years Eve

We headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a little New Years Eve celebration.....here you will see one of the many benefits of hanging out at Grandma's.....she has a TREAT DRAWER!!! It is filled with goodies just in reach for the two of us! The best part is when Mommy isn't looking, we head over....open it ourselves and dig in! Grandma has been trying to fill it with fruit snacks but when we dig hard, we can still find a "Tootsie Roll" .......gotta love a tootsie roll! And then we hang out with Grandma to share our goods......Gotta love a Grandma....no limits! Just whatever puts a smile on our face!!!

Hi my name is Miley and this is my LAST bottle! I didn't even know it but apparently my New Years "resolution".....(whatever that is) is to LET GO OF THE BOTTLE........WHAT???? The good news is......I didn't even care......Mommy just threw it away and I never even acted like I wanted it......I had been drinking out of a sippy cup since about 6 mo anyway so no biggie! Had Mommy realized this earlier....she would have let that "1" bottle we had left just go a long time ago! Pretty cool huh.....15mo old and already able to stick to a resolution....that's right....I'm cool....just ask me!

Whenever Mommy asks us if we want to go to Grandma's...we get so excited! I like to say...."play with Grandma's kitchen".......It is a blast!!! If Grandma asks for a drink....I get her a cup...go to the sink....and fill it up! She is such a great playmate....that Grandma....she sits on our little chairs....acts like us....enjoys the same things we do .....and she even picks up after us too! When we arrive at Grandma's house, it is always clean and nicely organized....then Grandpa says....watch.....in about 1 minute it will look like a tornado came through here! He is right!! We can make a mess in no time!!! When Mommy makes a game out of clean up time, we do really well helping out!

Still savoring that last bottle.....clearly a "girl" .....see me multi-task....I can down a bottle and do the dishes at the same time! And...I have a pan of brownies in the oven too.....

I would ring up your order here on my cash register, but can't you see.....I am on break! Give me a minute will ya.....

Having a sister to play with is (usually) so much fun! We really do play quite well together.....don't be too fooled though....we do have our moments and let me tell ya....when it comes to getting what you want....11mo. between the two of us really puts up for a good battle every now and then! In the end....we both end up with a toy that works for both of us!

Playing at Grandma and Grandpa's house always makes us Happy! When it comes time to go though.....watch out! Miley always gets "scooped up" by Mommy....but me....I "Go Hide" as I like to tell you! I have no problem letting you know that I am going to buy some time by hiding......then when Mommy gets me all dressed up in my coat and shoes....she runs outside to put Miley in the car....by the time she gets back in, I have my shoes and coat off and I am back playing with "Grandma's kitchen"......that Mom of ours....she'll never really "get it"!

We didn't stay till the end to bring in the New Year.....we were home by 1030 and even Mommy who usually stays up until 2am was sleeping before midnight! Daddy was at work and probably fast asleep before midnight also! We aren't much of a "Hip-Happinin' Family"!! Happy New Year everyone!

Christmas Day 2009

Apparently we have been "Good Girls" as Miley would say.....only she would say...."goo-gir"....this is what we woke up to on Christmas morning! Hot diggidy dog.....let us at it! Saddle up partners....we got a HORSE!!!

But of course the trains are the biggest hit with my sister!!!! I think my parents should change her middle name to "Thomas"!
Ok....now that Santa has come and gone.....will the real Miley please stand up......Here I am as Mommy caught me in action......grabbing my sisters trains.......and......

"Run like the Dickens"........(a phrase my Mommy's Grandma used to use when she was little)

Go....go....go......what really stinks though is that my sister always gets her trains back! But man is it fun to take them away from her! I can run at about mach 4 with her toys when I want to!!! It's great!
I bet Santa isn't watching right now....he's gotta be tired after delivering all those toys last night! Hopefully he doesn't read blogs and hold this against me for next year!!!

Check it out.....Elmo on a pillowcase! Thanks Santa......what is the deal with my name everywhere.....my hiney....my pillowcase...what next? Thanks Miley....I think I will do a little "dashing through the snow" with my jingle bells!

Look Daddy.....

Oh....this is going to be fun!!! Now quick.....somebody grab me a Kleenex! Darn colds....we have been passing it back and forth all month!

A bag full of musical instruments! What a great idea Santa! We have been having parades in the living room nearly everyday playing all of them! We like to march to our Sesame Street music! Miley even goes to the CD player....points at it and says "Elmo"......too cute!

Ride 'em Cowgirl......

We were getting ready to head to Grandma's house for Christmas Dinner and Mommy decided to take yet more photos....she asked me if I liked my new Rocking Horse...and this is the response she got......as you can see....I LOVE IT!!! This is an image my Mommy said she will forever hold in her heart.....the look on my face she said will never be erased from her mind! We have been very blessed and beyond any toys that could ever be purchased, the look of happiness in a child's eyes means more to a parent then any gift that can ever be given! We are very lucky to have lives filled with such love! Merry Christmas everyone!!!
The best Christmas present my Mommy has ever received was given to her about 15 min. after this photo was taken! Daddy had been warming the car up and he was just taking Miley out to get her all buckled up in her car seat....Mommy and I were standing in the door watching the snow flakes falling from the sky....I was in Mommy's arms as we stood in the door cheek to cheek.....I reached over and put my tiny little hands on her cheeks and said "Merry Christmas Mama!" .....for those of you that know my Mommy really well, you know she is typing this with eyes filled with tears! Words of love and kindness are so important to her and having them come from me meant more to her then anyone can imagine! I love my Mommy so much and I know that God has chosen the perfect family for my sister and I!
Happy Holiday to all of you that are a part of our lives! We love you!!!
You may recognize this picture from our Christmas cards....Mommy wanted to include it because these very special ornaments were made by "Us" as a gift to our Mommy and Daddy! A big thank you to Grandma, Grandpa, and Auntie Kaleigh for helping us make them! Our parents loved them and were very grateful! Mommy had to include a few photos of our Christmas tree....she said it was her favorite tree they had ever decorated! Did you know that my parents didn't start putting a tree up until they had us?? How boring is that! Apparently they thought since they always worked the holidays and ended up going to Grandma and Grandpa's house, they didn't need one at their house....that is so not right! Good thing we came along to brighten up the holidays!!!! Mommy said she finally knows how Grandma feels about the holidays....they are definitely so much more important through the eyes of a parent!!!
Awwee.....thanks Auntie Carol....

Mommy even decorated a little beyond the tree......geez.....way to go Mom!

Enough of this.....time to head back to bed!! Night Night everyone!!! Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Eve 2009

Our Family has been gathering at our house for the past 3 years for Christmas Eve.....we LOVE it!!! Everyone starts showing up at our house with presents....there is a ton of YUMMY food...and the evening is filled with the magic of Christmas! We were sad that Uncle Loyd (aka. Ho-ho) was not able to attend this year.....but it IS Christmas Eve....of course he had to work!!! We missed you Ho-Ho!!! Auntie Kaleigh always has "Pretties" on....I can't wait to get my hands on them!!! And...I love to sneak in a Kissy or two! I love My Auntie "Kay-ee"....yep....I can even say her name now!!!
Kiss-Kiss!

Daddy gives me horsey rides on his knee....I especially love it when he sees a snake....that's when things really pick up! I have to hold on tight because when we see a snake.....we go CRAZY!!! I like to tell Daddy "One more time...." then once we get going....I shout out "Snake-Snake".....Our Daddy is a blast....he does all of the fun stuff!

Let the fun begin....time to open presents! Clearly Grandma needs our help....she has no experience opening gifts....good thing we are here!

OOPS....someone is missing a bow off of their gift....apparently I thought I should have it instead!

Take note that I am playing with my trains.....who needs new toys really?

Dancing a little to some Christmas music.....a girls gotta shake a little here and there! Mommy NEVER turns the Christmas music off.....UGGHH.....somebody help her!

SWEET!!....nobody is looking....I am going to pull all of this "crap" off the tree.....they act like they think I am going to leave it alone or something.....DAH!

Christmas Eve is so much fun! Family time is very special and we know we are blessed to have such a loving family to spend time with! Thank you everyone for coming to our house to make it extra special! We LOVE all of you!!!

"There ya' go Miley"

If this were on video.....this is what you would hear...."There ya' go Miley....there ya' go".....Mommy wanted so bad to help but she was too busy taking pictures and didn't want to interrupt me trying so hard.....I have become quite the helper with my sister and I wanted her to wear Daddy's shoes because I was wearing Mommy's.....but clearly she needed my help! I think the problem might be that she only has one sock on.....
Either way....it doesn't matter....we got it!

Come on Miley....I will hold you up too!

No...no...don't fall.....let's go!

"Good girl Miley"......my sister is getting so big....she is a good girl! She even says "goo-gil".....so cute....she is learning quite a few words! Good job Miley!!

MMMmmmmm......

I love it when Daddy comes home....we like to share "I-cream" right out of the container!!! Mommy cringes because the sight of this mess all over me makes her squirm.....plus she hates chocolate ice-cream so she just can't hang with Daddy and I! Mommy and I made her traditional "Christmas mix"....I helped her pour all of the ingredients into the bowl....however...when she gave me the M&M's and asked me to pour them in the bowl....I said "No".....and instead I grabbed a handful and started to eat them! They were GREAT!!!

Christmas Gathering at "Aunt Carol's House"

About a week before Christmas, Aunt Carol and "Ho-Ho" had a gathering at their house! It was so nice and they also had great food! Daddy was roasting a hot-dog over the fire! Yummy! I pretty much hung out with Grandma all night! She is the first one to protect me when I get a little weary of things.....I can always count on Grandma!!
not to mention she loves to play babies with me and Aunt Carol has SO many babies at her house! It is a lot of fun!!

Once Santa (aka. Ho-ho) came out.....I had no interest in him.....I am weary at Aunt Carol's house because I am having a tough time trying to figure out why Aunt Carol and "Ho-Ho" go together.....I mean think about it....She is married to the guy and yet he is plastered all over the place during the holiday.....he's in the stores....in people's yards....you name it....he's there! I'm a bit confused by this and trying to make sense of it! It's like he's a celebrity or something yet he is always with our family....we must be pretty lucky! Whatever you do Daddy....don't let me down!

Me on the other hand.....let me at him!!! I want to make sure he knows exactly what I want for Christmas! I will give him your list too Lauren.....that way you don't have to come near him!! I've got your back!!!

What a blast at Aunt Carol's house! She is so lucky to get to have Santa at her house all year round!!!
