More family time in the pool

Today we spent another 45 minutes or so in the pool....(all Mommy will let us do because of the intense desert sun) We seem to have the most fun in the pool. Our entire family loves the water! Mommy even gives kisses in the pool....she is always kissing us! We love it!

What do you mean I have to get out??? I let you put sunscreen on me....

Look Mommy.....Daddy and Miley are way over there....let's get them!

We are having a very laid back relaxing vacation! We decided not to go to the beach. We are just going to hang out here in the desert and keep everything pretty low key!

We did go to the Outlet mall today and Mommy said it just wasn't the same without her shopping buddy Lisa! She did however have much success!! For those of you who know that Mommy has a Nike shoe fetish....she found her favorite pair of shoes in the clearance section marked down to 29.99!!! Yippee!!! They were 120.00.....the best part was when she went to pay for them.....they were only 5.99!!!! SWEET!!!! Mommy came out to the car with 5 pair and a really big smile on her face!!! Ahhh....the beauty of a great deal!

More fun in the pool!

Grandma's neighborhood also has a community pool that we went to today. I was laughing while I splashed and kicked! It was very cold when I got out so I snuggled in a towel with Grandma. I almost fell asleep too!

This is my cousin Emma...I love her already! She lets me pull her hair and so does my cousin Tyler! They must be pretty tough!

Hurry up everyone.....I'm ready to go! I have been a good sport wearing my hats....and even asking for them when I don't have one on!

I took my baby for a walk outside too....we were getting ready to go to another pool!

I was very excited to see that there were toys at Grandma's house too! As soon as I found this, I said "Choo-choo" This is my favorite though...I have been pushing this cart around and saying "Baby" non-stop!

We went on a walk at the golf course that is in Grandma and Grandpa's neighborhood. It was windy but I had fun running and yelling the entire time!

I opted to eat my feet for entertainment purposes!

I loved the little hills on the golf course! Wheee....

Despite the cold water, we opted to go swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was ok once Grandpa heated up the water! I got out my two-piece to show off my tiney b-hiney......haha!

I loved to splash in the hot-tub......the water was not hot though...otherwise I would not be in here!

I love the water just as much as my sister does!!! I was kickin' and kickin'.....I loved it too!!!

The Living Desert

On Tuesday we went to The Living Desert. It is a mini zoo-like park that has a few animals and Daddy seemed pretty excited about the train display! I waited for the train to come along.....and go bye...

Daddy showed me where he hiked on the Grand Canyon replica.

I had to hang out in the stroller with a blanket over it to keep my fragile skin from burning! Mommy is very scared of us getting a sunburn!!

We didn't stay too long, because we were nearing nap time and it gets very hot in Palm Springs very quickly! We did enjoy ourselves and will be back when we get older and can appreciate it a little more!

Daddy was teaching me how to brush this smelly goats hair!

Here I am joining the "class trip"....apparently I was wearing the wrong t-shirt and speaking the wrong language to hang with this group! I just thought it looked like fun to be with all of these kids! We enjoyed the giraffes....they seemed pretty happy where they were.....

We were so excited when we arrived at our cousins house and they made this beautiful basket full of goodies for us! Here it is minus all of the snacks that we had grabbed right away to eat! Thanks for the nice sign Emma and Tyler! We love you too!

I am ready for my big day! I have my hat and sunscreen and pacifier....all a girl needs!

This is the little sitting area right outside our casita (guest house for us non spanish speaking americans) It is so nice because we have our own little area to scream and cry in and we don't even bother anyone! Thanks so much for the great place to stay Auntie Heather an Uncle Geoff!

We are just getting ready to enjoy our first relaxing day of vacation and it is a beautiful day! YIPPEE!!!

We made it!!

We just deplaned in Los Angeles. Hurry up Mommy before people realize we are from Iowa. Ok honestly....hurry up and get out of the bathroom Daddy before Mommy finds another ridiculous sign to park us in front of!

Can you believe they are making me sleep in this portable bassinet.....this has got to stunt my growth.....but right now, I am so tired I don't even care!

I am exhausted too!!!! Sweet dreams Miley....see you in the morning!

Miley's first flight!

On Monday morning, we headed out to the airport at 540am with a Mommy and Daddy that had 3 hrs. of sleep, a toddler with 4 hrs. of sleep and a baby with 8 hrs of sleep.......Hmmmm....I wonder how this day is going to turn out! YIKES!! Here is our crew that flew us from Waterloo to Minneapolis.....they kindly posed for a photo as a memory for Miley on her first flight! It helped that Mommy and Daddy were friends with them....it's always nice to know we are in good hands!

Lauren slept on Mommy's chest and Miley enjoyed a bottle with Daddy then fell asleep as we were descending into Minneapolis.

Here we are.....one tired family heading out to Palm Springs, California to visit Daddy's family! Certainly we will have a fun vacation!

Just waiting for our flight to Los Angeles to board and praying that nobody would take the seat between us! We were SO LUCKY....the flight was completely full except the seat between Mommy and Daddy....word must have gotten out that there was a family with 2 lap children in the back of the plane.....haha!

I enjoyed my first day of flying....I slept about 30 min total and laughed and tried to stand on Mommy and Daddy's lap. My sister had ants in her pants and belted out a few screeches but other then that it was pretty painless for everyone......Mommy and Daddy are sweating the flight home because there was no room left in our row for another person. Note to Mommy and Daddy....buy another ticket.....dah!

Don't worry Miley, I will go slow until you get used to our new "ride". When Mommy says "Beep-Beep" you just reach over here and push the horn.....it will beep....then you laugh....OK?

OK Miley, scoot over....it's my turn to drive.

Every time I see a dog, I wave at it and say "woof-woof".....I am trying to see if Auntie Kaleigh's dogs are anywhere to be found..... Mommy, where are they??
