Just Lookin' for trains!

Whenever I get the chance to spend a little of my free time on the computer, I do.....(not really but I do like to pretend!) Mommy was busy taking a picture of a squirrel eating Jelly Beans in our front yard.....she looked back at me and this is what she found......she asked me what I was doing....my response...."Just lookin' for trains!" I was pretty serious too! Daddy and I like to research trains on the computer together!

"My Feet" as seen by Mommy......

Mommy had this great idea of a photo shoot she wanted to do with us for practice......she had our pretty dresses.....boa's.....ice cream bowls....etc. She really had a vision that totally FAILED! too bad for her! She was just trying to practice with a particular lens and was hoping to capture an image for herself to keep. Here is the only one of me as she" sees" me..... Yep.....my feet!
Part of the reason for this is simply.....this photo was going to be totally out of character for us! We don't really "do" dresses.....well our Mommy doesn't.....we don't really "do" all of that frilly stuff.......well our Mommy doesn't......but this photo shoot was such an eye-opener for her! She realized she only really does enjoy candid shots.....something she was sure of but totally confirmed this weekend! So, she decided to stop trying to get a photo of Miley and I having a little ice-cream party.....step back.....regroup....and capture "ME"......just being "ME"......that is how I look the cutest to her......and here you have it.....my cute little feet!
This is just one step closer to focusing on how she wants her business to be.....still trying to "get" her camera and find her niche.....her passion for photography is all about "Life"......as we are living it.....

Story time with Lauren....

"Come here Miley....sit on Lauren's lap".....this is what I told my sister when I wanted to read a book to her! This is how Mommy and Daddy do it too......I have even designated "Lauren's lap and Miley's lap" on Mommy! (I'm always on the left and Miley is always on the right....sometimes I ask Mommy if I can sit on Miley's lap when she is already sleeping!) I wanted to read my favorite bedtime story to her......"Griffin's busy day"

Oh Mommy.....I think she likes it too!

Ok....sissy....I'm out of here! You know I can't possibly sit through an entire book....no matter how fun you make it seem! LATER!!!!

My sister just doesn't appreciate a good book like I do! I am going to continue reading it because quite frankly....I love this book!

Have you thought about what you are going to do with the CRAZY HAIR of yours?? I might suggest a "pretty".....it could do wonders for you!

When Mommy ran downstairs to switch the laundry around.....she came back to find this!!! My sister was on Mommy and Daddy's bed eating some cereal while watching Caillou and she decided to share with me! I love her!!! When Mommy was getting ready to come back upstairs.....my sister shouted down to Mommy......."Mommy.....Lauren gave Miley a snack!".......a serious indication that Mommy definitely needed to grab the camera! And probably the hand-vac....
My sister is all about "fessing up" when she does something that she probably should not have done! Even if she pushes me down.......which she is doing much less of.....she will come tell Mommy "Lauren push Miley down Mommy!".......then Mommy says, "Lauren...did you really?" Her response......"UH-HUH".....kinda strange really.....and she even says it with such pride! Keep in mind....while this conversation is going on......I am usually crying....waiting for Mommy to come make it all better! Then the best part is she then comes in and gives me a hug and kiss and says ..."Lauren kiss it and make it better?" I just don't get it really! Push me down...fess up to Mom....then try to make it better?? I'm so confused!

SOLD!!!

Bye-bye cute lil' house! Once our parents put our house up for sale, it sold in 24 hours! Mommy thought it would go right away because she thinks it is a cute lil' house....but who wouldn't think their home is cute?? Even though the first person that went through it put an offer on it...we still had to keep showing it for 3 days because the first day it was listed, people made appointments to go through it. We ended up with 5 offers in 3 days! Crazy!! Daddy found this house 13 years ago right before Mommy and Daddy got married.....we will tell that story later when Mommy does a little "going away" party for our home.....it has been a great home to us! When they bought it.....it was on the market for only 4 HOURS! After we went to the Realtors office to sign the papers finalizing the offer they made with the buyer.....we went out to celebrate! We sold it for only 1,500 less then asking price! Fortunately for us, the first offer was the highest one. The new owner is a young single gal and apparently she fell in LOVE with it the moment she walked in! Mommy was so glad to hear this because she had the same feeling when she first walked in to it also! We hope she finds as much happiness in this house as we have!

While Daddy and Miley waited for our table.....Mommy and I went to the restroom and stopped at the bar for a delicious lemonade! It was so yummy after a busy day!

Miley was a little concerned about the "high-chair" they made her sit in! Being an independent little gal....she was kind of trapped! Mommy and Daddy were shocked that she stayed here for as long as she did! It was one of those rare occasions where Mommy and Daddy actually were able to eat a meal "out" with us! We don't go out to dinner too often because quite frankly....we both hate to sit that long and we keep our parents so busy that they don't really get to eat their meal! By the time it shows up.....we are ready to go! Good thing they did plenty of this before they had us!!! chuckle....chuckle....now it's all about us and quite frankly....we like it that way! heehee!

Happy Birthday Auntie Kaleigh!!!

It doesn't have to be MY Birthday to have fun!!!

Even though our Mommy posts everything about a month behind schedule (slacker) it's never too late to wish yet another HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our Auntie Kaleigh! She was celebrating a very special 21st Birthday this year! We love our Auntie Kaleigh so much!!! She is pretty special to us! Mommy once told Lauren that the lady on the raisin box looked like Auntie Kaleigh....now every time she eats raisins, she points at the lady and says "Kaleigh" and laughs! Mommy thinks it's pretty funny! I like to compare almost anyone that is pretty and has dark hair to my Auntie Kaleigh......if we are watching tv and I see someone I think looks like her....I say "Kay-ee"......someone is beside us at a stop light that I think looks like her.....I say "Kay-ee".....shopping......etc. You get the point! We love our Auntie Kaleigh and have a lot of fun with her! Her party was a lot of fun! We LOVED the balloons!

Daddy was able to get some pretty good belly laughs out of me by doing this! I love to play with Daddy because he doesn't hold back at all!

My first M&M's....

It sounds kinda crazy, but I have never had M&M's.....until now that is.....(well possibly at Grandma's, but since there is no record of that....we're just going to go with this!) See the excitement in my face!! Here goes nothing.....

Look Mommy.....Miley likes candy too!

As much as our Mommy likes candy, you wouldn't think this is a special treat at our house....but it is! Mommy has a small stash of candy in the bathroom.....yes bathroom! She keeps it in a small bowl as a back-up plan for Lauren when she goes potty.....she usually gets stickers but when that gets old, Mommy likes to have something else kind of special!

Now, if you say CANDY.....I will go CRAZY with excitement! It's like I've won the lottery or something! Check out my sister.....geez Lauren....fill 'er up will ya!
